Students, not slaves
While I slept (correction: was working too hard to notice) 5000 high school students apparently demonstrated in the next street.

Failure
Philocrities flags up JK Rowling's "commencement address" on the "benefits of failure" at Harvard.
Failure gave me an inner security that I had never attained by passing examinations. Failure taught me things about myself that I could have learned no other way. I discovered that I had a strong will, and more discipline than I had suspected; I also found out that I had friends whose value was truly above rubies.
I like this from Churchill:
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
